Enjoy discussing taxes over lunch?  Sounds like a blast?  Regardless of how exciting it sounds it's crucial that businesses understand current Nebraska tax laws.  Especially with all the changes taking place in Washington.

Ruth Karlsson is a Revenue Educator in the Communications Section at the Nebraska Department of Revenue.  Her primary responsibility is taxpayer education relating to sales and use tax issues.  She conducts semi-annual sales and use tax seminars for the Department throughout the state, and is a frequent speaker at industry and association meetings.  In addition, she works extensively with businesses, one-on-one, to assist in their understanding of Nebraska's sales and use tax laws.  She has served the department as a revenue agent, and in the Tax Policy Section where her primary responsibilities were the review and implementation of legislation affecting sales and use tax.
