OFA educates members on the latest trends in technology, creativity and marketing through seminars, monthly luncheon speakers, exhibitions and trade shows.
In addition, OFA offers member networking. It will assist you expanding your client and referral lists - plus networking offers you the opportunity to broaden your appeal in the job market.
OFA encourages young people to enter the advertising business. For college students pursuing a career in advertising, OFA is their link to the business world. OFA gives college scholarships and sponsors college chapters at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, the University of Nebraska at Omaha, the University of Nebraska at Kearney and at Creighton University. OFA also annually facilities a scholarship awarded by Bozell & Jacobs for students attending The Creative Center, Metro Community College and Vatterott College.

Each year, the Nebraska Addys awards the best and brightest of the previous year's advertising created by firms throughout Nebraska. OFA hosts an annual golf outing for members and guests each year. It's a day of fun and camaraderie when you can show what you're really made of!

You're invited to make great contacts-business and otherwise-and enjoy a spectacular afternoon of golf, lunch, drinks, dinner, unique prizes, silent auction and entertainment!
Through your participation, you are supporting the Federation's scholarship fund and various award-winning and nationally acclaimed OFA programs such as Meet The Pros and our annual Public Service campaign. OFA accepts applications from non-profit organizations and selects one as our public service client each year. What you may not know is that over the last ten years, nearly $2.5 million and thousands of hours in pro bono creative and marketing services have been provided to organizations such as Shaken Baby Task Force, The Ollie Web Center, The Kim Foundation-Project Relate, Youth Emergency Services, The Hope Center, Parent's United, United Way of the Midlands, Omaha 2000 Early Education Program, The Friendship Program and Prevention of Methamphetamine Use to name a few of our most current commitments. Gratis programs of this magnitude, unfortunately can only continue through vigorous fundraising efforts (such as our golf event) and the generosity of our members who willingly give up their free time for these greater causes.

You Can't Handle the Trivia!
Ad Wars promises to be a fun-filled and fact-filled addition to our roster of annual events. The team competition tests your knowledge of advertising practices, terminology and trivia. But it's anything but trivial - just ask anyone from the 2006 Ad Wars championship team from REDSTONE Communications! It's a brutal display of seemingly useless terms and acronyms. It's a grueling and treacherous evening of famous jingles and tag lines. It's almost fun! To compete here's all you need:

If you're not up on world (of Ad Wars) events, here's how the war effort works: 1) Recruit your colleagues, friends, bosses, rivals, whoever, to join your ranks. Between five and eight enlistees is recommended. 2) Submit your team and registration fee of $150 to Corporal Teri Hamburger.
Where else can you put to use those seemingly trivial pop culture and advertising factoids about Mr. Clean, Like a Rock, Alka-Seltzer and more. Not only do you get a chance to use that part of your brain, you have a chance to win bragging rights and the helmet to beat all helmets, otherwise known as the Ad Wars trophy. This year's battle will be bigger and badder than ever. The Ervin & Smith team will be defending, new troops are coming in the form of more teams (area agencies and vendors), there's great door prizes for those doing battle and audience members.
