Position Description
We’re seeking a creative and independent candidate who is looking to grow their career and join our Human Resources team at West Asset Management!
The Communications and Event Coordinator is responsible for assisting the development and execution of the West Asset Management communication plan; develop, manage, and evaluate company wide activities, promoting unity and a positive atmosphere; manage recognition program in every stage of the process. This position will allow you to be highly empowered with your ideas and writing and will provide your work broad exposure thoughout the organization. Your work will be visible and in front of our employees.
Applicants for this job will be expected to meet the following minimum qualifications.
Education
-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in marketing, communications or related field required. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements.
Experience
-Minimum two years of increasing responsible experience in communications, marketing, public relations, brand management, or journalism required.
-Webpage editing and graphic layout experience preferred.
Other
-Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint required
-Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop, and Acrobat) preferred.
